So I'm the first to admit that I'm clueless about this whole "motherhood" thing and I'm pretty much just winging it on a daily basis and I usually can figure it out but I'm pretty stumped on what to do about my latest issue with my little guy. See the bottles above----notice that they're empty----that is something that NEVER happens at my house! Seriously, Cash has never been a big eater but the last couple of months he seems to hate formula. At first I thought he was just being lazy so I put the formula in a sippy cup---nope, won't drink it. He'll drink water or juice but not formula. I still have a few months until I can put him on real milk so I'm just wondering if any of you mothers out there have some suggestions. I talked to my doctor about it and he doesn't seem to concerned seeing as Cash is healthy but the other thing is the kid hasn't gained that much weight in the past 4 months......which the doctor also told me not to worry about because his head is still growing which is the most important part. (I'm thinking "ohgreat---so his head keeps growing and his body doesn't---pretty soon he'll be looking like "an orange on a toothpick!". I'll also be the first to admit that I think I have this idea in my head that he's suppose to be a little chubber because he was such a fat newborn and well, "skinny genes" don't really run in my family. So anyway, just throwing it out there for some ideas. Oh one more thing....the doctor told me not to waste my money on trying different kinds of formula.

Oh hun we need to talk
Well, if I were you.... oh wait not my area of expertise. Sorry!
Dr. Pepper seems to fatten me up, give that a whirl!
Have you tried hooking him back up to the teet?
JUST KIDDING!!!!
I dunno...my 16 month old won't drink milk...do you know what to do for that?
I've never had this problem, but have you tried letting him get super hungry, like 6+ hours between daytime feedings and then give him a bottle of formula and nothing else? If he doesn't drink the bottle, let him go another hour and then hand it to him again...no juice, water, or food in between.
Just a thought. I've never heard of babies developing a distaste for formula (which surprises me because the stuff makes me GAG to smell it!).
If your doctor isn't concerned, and Cash is happy, just wait it out. He's been sick and teething so it could all be related to that too...
I remember that Dawnette used to put strawberry quick in Holly's bottle to get her to drink it. I don't know...maybe?
Have a good Thanksgiving!
