Sloan's first Airplane Ride

Sloan and I headed to Portland last week to meet her newest cousin!  Maile had little Qorbin 12 days after Sloan was born.  So we jumped on a plane and headed up for a visit for the baby blessing.  Qorbin seemed so tiny compared to Sloan.  He's quite the cute little guy.  I loved just chilling with Maile for a couple days and was quite entertained by her boys while I was there.  Maile and I pretty much spent most of our time sitting on the couch with a bag of doritos between us and ate and gossiped.....it was GREAT!  Cannon is quite the ham and LOVES to try and push your buttons....if he wasn't so cute I probably would have given him a good beating!!!  Here's a picture of cute little Qorbin---he kind of looks like an old man don't you think?
My mom has been in Portland for the past month helping Maile so she was pretty excited to see Sloan again............and I'm not going to lie---I was pretty excited to have my mom watch her so I could get some sleep!!!  My mom is in heaven because she has two more grand babies that will be born this year.

Sloan Rachel Baadsgaard

I figured a new baby was a pretty good reason so finally update my blog!!! Sloan Rachel Baadsgaard (her middle name is after Jed's mom) was born on May 21, 2010 at 1:58am at the American Fork Hospital. She weighed in at 8 pounds 12 ounces (exactly the same amount that I weighed when I was born) and she was 19 1/2 inches long. I was scheduled for a c-section that morning at 6:30am but my water broke right after midnight and by the time we got to the hospital a little before 1:00am my contractions were two minutes apart and I was in some serious pain. So they whisked me into the operating room and had little Sloan out pretty quick!
Here's my first look at my little girl. Soooo happy to finally have her here! I love the picture below of Jed showing Sloan to Cash for the first time......so sweet.
Aunt Meridith brought Cash in to visit his little sister for the first time. She bought him that cute shirt too. Meridith has seriously been my biggest lifesaver since Sloan was born I honestly don't know what I would have done without her--hands down the best sister-in-law ever!

I was so glad that Cash actually liked his little sister. He couldn't get enough of her. He kept wanting to love on her and hold her. I thought for sure he wouldn't be so fond of her once he realized she was coming home with us but he still likes her----except when she's crying....then he likes to yell at her "go to sleep baby...go to sleep!" (I'll admit I've thought those words myself a few times at 3am)Here's our little family heading home from the hospital. As most of you know I'm a HORRIBLE pregnant person. I hate being pregnant more than anything. Once I have that baby I'm a whole new woman! I only stayed in the hospital for two days after Cash and Sloan because I'm just anxious to get home and be normal again. I do have to say that my two little sweeties are well worth the pregnancy. I feel so blessed and lucky to be their mom.
