Let me begin by saying that I'm so excited to finally have something blogworthy to post! So I've had this vision for the baby's room ever since we moved into our house and this past week Jed has been off work so he decided to make my "vision" a reality! He was pretty nervous at first because he had no clue what he was doing but I'm seriously impressed that he was able to do it just how I wanted------don't think there weren't a few "discussions" between us before it was all done but the end result is FABULOUS!!!! I think he's even impressed with his skills! So he's finished this project and has the rest of the week off so I am willing to hire him out to anyone else out there who needs some handywork done!
You can see that Jed put up all new moldings, the wainscoting and trim around the windows. You might also notice the picture already hanigng in the room to go along with our "cowboy/western" nursery theme. Jed came home the other day all excited about his great find for the babies room. He was all "hurry come see what I got!" So I walked into the nursery not really knowing what to expect and I see this John Wayne picture that he's bought. Not totally knowing if he was serious or not I looked at him and it only took about 2 seonds of looking at the grin on his face to realize---he was serious! I said "uhm, do you really want this in here?" and he said "YES!!! Our boy needs a hero and John Wayne is perfect!" So needless to say---we have the first item that will be going on the wall when we start decorating.

I love it! It is so cute! I cannot wait to see it with all the fun decor you are going to put in it.
The John Wayne poster is cracking me up! Sam had a framed poster of Spiderman that hung in Carson's room when he was a baby. I think I finally convinced him to give that picture to the DI a few weeks ago!
Good job Jed on the remodel job! It's gorgeous!!! Let the "nesting" stage begin. :)
it's perfect!
That cracks me up. Good luck working with decorations around the John Wayne poster. Other than that....the room looks awesome. I bet it was a ton of work.
I love it!!!! Jed did a great job. I can't wait to see your house at your shower. John Wayne you gotta love Jed!
Jed did a great job. I love it.
How cute! I LOVE how you did the walls! Jed is a handyman! I am so excited for you and I LOVE the cowboy theme!
Nalani it looks wonderful! I LOVE it!!! Now we just need to decorate it all :)
Jed did a real nice job! I can't wait to see it when it's finally done!
I love it. It looks so nice. Bravo to Jed.
There's nothing than a fresh, new nursery to put that little baby in. Not long now!
It looks great! And that is the cutest story about John Wayne!
So so cute!!!!! That is what I want to do someday in our master. Your genius and Jed is amazing!
Looks great.... the pic adds a great touch!!
Why is there vertical molding in all of the corners? It makes the spacing all off. :) Was that topic of one of the "discussions".
That turned out great! I am so glad that you love it as much as you thought you would! The John Wayne picture is awesome, too.
Jed is so talented! The room looks really great. You need to share details on how he did it....
